pydreg
pydreg is a Python reimplementation of dREG, a tool for detecting regulatory elements from nascent transcription (GRO-seq/PRO-seq) data. It preserves dREG’s pretrained models and peak calling procedure while using modern numerical libraries for CPU and GPU computation, achieving ~4.5x faster runtimes and ~5.4x lower peak memory usage.
